Our Review
Bluestar's Prophecy is a standalone Super Edition that goes back before Into the Wild to show how Bluestar became the ThunderClan leader later books take for granted. At 567 pages, it uses that space to follow Bluestar from her apprentice days through the choices, and the secrets she doesn't share, that shape her rise to power. Harper Collins publishes it for a 6-to-10 age range, though the length alone makes it a bigger commitment than a standard series entry.
Framed as backstory rather than a fresh introduction, it rewards a reader who already cares about Bluestar from the main series more than it works as a way into the Warriors world for the first time. The prophecy that guides her, and the past she's hiding, give the book a throughline even at this length, so it reads as one long arc about what leadership costs her rather than a collection of episodes. Best handed to a kid who's already deep into the series and asking questions about how Bluestar got to be the leader they already know from the earlier books.
